Moving Water Session PDF Print E-mail

Included as part of the beginner kayaking course, the flowing water session is intended to introduce beginners to paddling on moving water without rapids. You'll get a chance to do all the strokes you learned in the pool on a river.

Additionally, two essential skills, the eddy turn and the ferry will be introduced, since these skills can only be learnt on a river.

Note: This session is a pre-requisite for any further club trips.

Duration: 2-3 hours

Location: Quesnell Bridge, near Fort Edmonton Park - may change based on construction activity this year.

Cost: Club Membership

Next session(s):

Jade Lam ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) is organizing one on May 15th. See the calendar for more details.
